ctd architects are working with longstanding clients KMF Precision Sheet Metal Ltd of Newcastle under Lyme to deliver a new purpose built works canteen and staff welfare facilities building.
The new canteen space, extending onto their existing office accommodation, is designed to incorporate natural passive ventilation and has a lofty spacious interior, incorporating exposed feature glulam beams.
Following a short but intense design process to meet KMF’s specific needs a full planning application was submitted to the local planning authority in last year, 2016, and received approval soon after. The project has now started and is well underway on site, being built out by Sandycroft Construction.
The project is the latest addition at KMF’s site in Newcastle-under-Lyme and builds upon a very long and lasting relationship between ctd architects and KMF Group.
