Mellards Warehouse

Comprehensive conservation repair and refurbishment to derelict former ironmongers warehouse, to create a small mixed-use ‘mews’ development of offices, café & retail units. Supported with grant-aid from Newcastle-under-Lyme PSiCA scheme as part of its contribution to the regeneration of the town centre. Re-roofing; new rainwater goods; overhauling and replacement of historic doors and windows; significant masonry repairs and reinstatement of floors have helped to transform and reinstate the prominent building as a positive acquisition to the town centre conservation area.

The project achieved ‘Good Design and Workmanship in the Refurbishment of Commercial Buildings’ Award by N-U-L Civic Society and Borough Council Civic Awards Scheme.
