‘The Prince of Wales Studios’ at Middleport Pottery

ctd architects’ Chris Hesketh and project architect Joanna Lawton meet HRH The Prince of Wales at the official opening of ‘The Prince of Wales Studios’ at Middleport Pottery, Stoke-on-Trent this morning.  The studios were designed by ctd architects and constructed by Sneyd Building Contractors Ltd. within the Grade II* Listed Old Packing House on the canal wharf to provide studio work space for ceramic and other artist-crafts people, and gallery, exhibition and meeting space that can be hired or leased for both practical making and showcasing their work.

Chris and Joanna also met the presenters and contestants from the recent BBC ‘Great British Pottery Throw Down’ which used the new studios and kilns for the popular series.

When visiting Stoke the Middleport Pottery visitors centre and cafe is well worth a visit.
